The actual space was converted from an old warehouse, and a very good job at conversion it was. Place has a cozy feel, with an enclosed heated outdoor seating area. The two things that stand out is the creative menu (some of the dishes involve 48 hour roasted pork belly and Kobe Beef house-made ravioli) and the wine list (which surprisingly does not appear to have PlumpJack wines). The slowly roasted pork appetizer did an amazing job of sealing in the flavor of pork, while a bottle of 2003 “Baroota” Hazy Blur Shiraz was excellent (although a bit young). However, the execution on that creative menu could be much better. The ravioli came out cold, and the pork shoulder dish was not as tender as it could have been. Service was good and attentive, the ravioli dish was promptly taken off the check, but at times waiter was gone for a bit too long. Overall, the menu has a lot of potential, but at the current execution level it will not be worth a second visit.
