(Amazon.com company), Systems Engineer (Oracle Consulting)VOLUNTEER/NON-PROFIT WORK: none describedSCHOOLS VISITED: Harvard, Wharton, MIT SloanAPPLICATION ROUND: Round 2ResultsHarvard, Stanford, Wharton, London Busines School - dinged/rejectedMIT Sloan - interviewed and waitlistedPerceived weakneses (my own asesment)- no Manager title on the resume over the years- lack of non-profit/volunteer work highlights- did not visit Stanford and London Busines Schools- esays were decent, but obviously not good enough- should have a much better answers for why this school/why now question for both esays and interviewsSome personal thoughts- given a chance, should apply as early as posible, meaning Round 1- Wharton is very finance oriented- Harvard & Stanford look more as a general management focus- MIT Sloan has a strong entrepreneurship focus- esays take a couple of months and numerous iterations- alumni, current students/profesors at a given school are very important as points of contact, even better as recommenders, even better as guides through the application proces
