Shodh yatra
The Shodh Yatris will live along with simple village folk; facing the difficulties they would encounter in their daily routine. Thus the Shodh Yatra is as much a means to explore within as without. There will be around 100 Shodh Yatris walking together, which may include Innovators, Farmers, Herbal Healers, Scientists, Journalists, Students, NGO Representatives, women, children, etc. A Journey on foot through small towns, villages, forests and deserts in different parts of the country, over the last six years, has reinforced our faith in the innate creativity at grasroots. So far we have had twelve Shodh Yatras, every winter and summer, in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka and have walked for about 2200 kms.This summer SRISTI has organized the 13th Shodh Yatra in the Jamnagar district of Gujarat.
